on project of mass deception

what if... we were able to create a virtual reality that takes you into a world where you perceive yourself to be "plugged" into device like in the matrix and you enter that world by waking up.

would you cease to believe that the previous world you were in isn't real? we think we know that this world isn't real because we saw the construction of that machine and perceive our entrance into that world, BUT we could very well be dreaming about the creation of that machine and coincidentally waking up as we stepped into that machine. if the virtual reality offers no way to tell whether we are in a VR or not, how do we know it is not the case that I proposed previously?

this evil machine is theoretically possible. note that it is a lot more powerful with the matrix machine scene than without the transition between worlds. If the virtual world started abruptedly with the memory of you stepping into the machine, you would probably assume this is the VR world because you stepped into the machine with a certain expectation an assumption for the next world you see to be false, yet when the starting scene is a scene that questions your assumption, would that shake your sense of reality greatly? i have to point out in the previous case where your assumptions weren't challenge, it is equally likely you woked up in the real world just as you stepped into that VR machine, but this coincidence is not considered at all or seriously when there is no evidence how you went into the other world.

the matrix machine in the VR world disguising itself as a means to go into the real world might be just the key to drive anyone who are determined to keep track of what is real insane.
